AWARE Technology

In response to departments who have inquired about associating personnel with the apparatus on which they arrived at the incident scene, SafeScene has introduced AWARE technology.

AWARE enhances SafeScene by automatically updating the personnel SafeScene   RFID tags with the identity of the apparatus on which the personnel have traveled to the incident.  This apparatus association information is then transmitted with regular tag identification information, allowing for the association of personnel and apparatus in the SafeScene application.

Now, departments whose incident command protocols are based upon associating personnel with the apparatus on which they arrived can manage the incident scene with this knowledge; personnel can automatically be linked with apparatus with AWARE technology.

We anticipate other beneficial uses for this technology and are are investigating other applications for AWARE technology on the fire ground.
